Entrepreneurship

The Innovation Corps (I-CORPS), a program offered by the University of Michigan Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE), is a region-wide program designed to foster, grow and nurture an innovation ecosystem. Through partnerships between the National Science Foundation (NSF), Michigan universities, Midwestern universities, Michigan SmartZones, and venture capital and entrepreneurial communities, we’ve created an opportunity for teams throughout the state and region to turn technology into commercial opportunities.

Make-a-Thon
For one weekend each winter, Make-a-Thon brings together the brightest students in art & design, engineering, business, and liberal arts to turn their ideas into physical product prototypes. Makeathon is a student-run Collegiate Product Design Competition: Over 36 hours, undergraduates from all across campus design and build products never created before. Teams pitch their innovative prototypes and get the chance to bring their product idea to market.
